About Stagehand

Stagehand helps you quickly, easily, and correctly create Dart applications. It generates the scaffolding that you need so you can get productive, faster. Stagehand supports generating client-side web apps and server-side apps.

Get Started

Installing Stagehand requires the Dart SDK, version 1.6 or greater. Once the Dart SDK is on your path, you can install the stagehand pub package:

$ pub global activate stagehand
      

Usage

Stagehand is easy to use. First, make sure pub scripts are on your PATH. Then:

$ mkdir fancy_project
$ cd fancy_project
$ stagehand webapp
      

Stagehand contains a highly curated list of templates:

• console-full - A larger command-line application sample.
• console-simple - A simple command-line application.
• package-simple - A starting point for Dart libraries or applications.
• server-appengine - A simple App Engine application.
• server-shelf - A web server built using the shelf package.
• web-full - A mobile-friendly web app with routing, responsive CSS, and (optional) Sass support.
• web-polymer - A web app built using polymer.dart.
• web-simple - An absolute bare-bones web app.
