The Lingua extractor must not generate a parse error in case of extra blank spaces inside curly brackets.

Fix a string vs. bytes error under Python 3. Thanks Tim Tisdall for noticing and fixing the problem.

- try, except and else are replaced with '' (i.e. ignored)
- elif is replaced with if

When _extract_python (lingua 3.9) has been patched to take `firstline` param into account, line numbers are off by one.

Continued partial statements (else, elif, ...) cannot be handled directly by the Python extractor, they need to be transformed first.
